She has been a community volunteer and has a dream of creating a greater number of women entrepreneurs. She runs a beauty parlour and imparts training to the poor women either free of cost/concessional rate.
She is a volunteer of a differently abled home where 23 differently abled children are staying in a hostel. Mrs. Hemalatha has been collecting funds from individuals and supporting the children to continue their studies.
K.S.Rama Rao, a Mechanical Engineer with a MBA from IIM Calcutta, comes with over 40 years of industry experience. He started his work life in the textile industry where he spent 23 years in various capacities in Manufacturing and Quality Assurance and rose to become a Senior Vice President. The next ten years were spent in Consulting. He was involved in consulting for various small and medium enterprises, helping them transform their businesses through Process Reengineering and application of appropriate technology to drive efficiency. He, then along with a few colleagues, co-founded a niche consulting company where he put together the hard and soft infrastructure in place. He continues to be a freelance consultant. In the short period he has ben associated with ASSCOD, he has put systems and processes in place and also created policies for the various aspects of good governance.
Gopinath Shivananthan is a dynamic serial entrepreneur with a diverse portfolio spanning pharma, finance, real estate, and more. With over 21 years of experience in Finance, Management Consulting, and Investment, S. Gopinath brings a wealth of expertise in financial control, corporate finance, and stakeholder management. He has played pivotal roles in various sectors including microfinance, NBFCs, construction, and SEZ companies, contributing to equity and debt funding, property sales, and infrastructure development.
Gopinath has been instrumental in the successful implementation of several PM Schemes, such as PM Awas Yojana (Gramin), Jal Jeevan Mission, and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Mr. R. Kannan has extensive experience in the field of financial services and has dedicated his efforts toward addressing the challenges faced by economically disadvantaged communities. His work is particularly focused on supporting persons with disabilities, ensuring that they gain access to the financial resources and opportunities needed to improve their quality of life.
Through his commitment and expertise, he has been able to design and promote initiatives that create inclusive growth, enabling marginalized individuals to become more self-reliant and empowered. His passion for social equity and financial inclusion continues to drive impactful change at the grassroots level.
Saraswathi, one of our dedicated trustees, brings over 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector. Her core expertise lies in mobilizing and organizing community women into Self-Help Groups (SHGs). With a strong commitment to grassroots empowerment, she has successfully formed and supported more than 150 SHGs in the Cheyyar Block. Beyond formation, Saraswathi plays a vital role in facilitating access to bank loans, enabling SHG women to launch and sustain their own micro-enterprises, thereby fostering financial independence and community development.
Sunanda Rangarajan brings a wide experience in social responsibility, social impact strategy and fund raising in the development sector both in India and abroad. She has handled key donor relationships, worked closely with multiple stakeholders in this ecosystem. She believes in partnerships and collaborations for amplifying impact in the communities. Having started off her journey as a social entrepreneur in 2012, she believes in community and collaboration as the key area of focus. With this commitment and passion, she hopes to add value to the sector where possible. She graduated from CSIS(Centre for Social Impact Strategy )- U Penn school of social policy and change, USA in 2020 and is currently the CEO of Omega Forum for Social Impact(OFSI).
Anusha K is a seasoned Development Professional with over 11 years of experience in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Sustainability, Social Work, Compliance Reporting, and Documentation. Throughout her career, she has successfully managed both large-scale and small-scale development projects, overseeing every stage from strategic planning and program design to implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
Her expertise lies in aligning CSR initiatives with sustainable development goals, ensuring measurable impact in communities. Anusha has collaborated with corporates, institutions, and grassroots organizations, bringing together stakeholders to create inclusive and scalable solutions.
