Nutrition is very important to lead a healthy life. Inclusion of  Nutritional diet in daily life helps enjoy good physical and mental health. Based on our research, we learnt that nutritional health is poor among rural and tribal women compared to urban women.

To overcome this status, we have planned to organise Health camps covering 200 rural and tribal women from 15 villages in Chengalpattu and Kanchipuram districts of Tamil Nadu. Free Pre-Haemoglobin tests will be done, to assess the malnutrition issues among the women. We will target women having haemoglobin level of 7 or below and support them to achieve the haemoglobin levels of 11 and above. This will be achieved through providing nutritional supplements for 6 months. Post haemoglobin tests will be taken 6 months after intervention to assess the progress.

These tests will be done by doctors and the progress after intervention will be assessed by the doctors to study the efficacy of the intervention.

Cost for 1 woman for 6 months is $81.

The support from your end will impact the nutritional health of many rural and tribal women suffering from malnutrition issues.
